CK Contemporary begins a new chapter in the Spring of 2020 with a move to an expansive new location at 246 Powell Street. The elegant new gallery is only a half-block away from its original location, yet boasts more than twice as much exhibition space. The new space is in the heart of San Francisco, at the corner of Powell and Geary, and housed within the historic Union Square Building.

After seven years of steady growth, CK Contemporary is prepared to enhance the representation of its artists while broadening its exhibition program and solidifying its long- term commitment to downtown San Francisco. Lauren Ellis, CK Contemporary Owner and Director, is looking forward to presenting the full breadth of CKC’s collection, explaining that “while our current location has served us well, it has also held us back in many ways. We will finally have an opportunity to simultaneously display single artist exhibitions as well as group shows, allowing us to take more chances and spotlight artists who deserve to be shown.”
